This place is very cozy and worth the try. I forgot my earbuds and they returned back to me. At night the sensor lights on the hallway turn on by themselves at the 3rd floor, review about poor bathroom design is very accurate. But is a great option if you are on budget. Breakfast is delicious and made at the moment for you. Give it a try!

This is not a bad hotel for the price. Unfortunately the staff is not suitable for the job. According to Colombian law, non residents in Colombia, whether foreigners or Colombians are exempt from paying 19% taxes. I have been living abroad for almost 15 years, therefore I don’t reside in Colombia. Hotels ask for your passport to see the stamp and verify you are just visiting, but since immigration authorities admit nationals using biometric identification, some people don’t have stamps in their passport any more. They asked for my foreign passport which I provided, my American id, my plane tickets and my USA address, but because I don’t have the stamp, they charged me 19% taxes. I tried to reason with the manager and ended paying the amount asked which was not much, but I don’t think they acted fairly. Every hotel I have stayed in Colombia understands this simple situation but not this manager. The concept is pretty straightforward: you are visiting Colombia if you don’t plan to remain in Colombia. You prove it with your foreign passport, your ids, your address and even your plane tickets if you do check MiG and don’t have the stamp in your passport. I would suggest to the manager and personal: try to inform yourself, try to acquire some customer service skills and treat your clients fairly if you want to have loyal customers. If you can’t follow this rules just don’t stay on business.

How is this considered a 4 star hotel? I have no idea! They have sliding farm doors for your bedroom which makes you feel very unsafe in your room. The staff isn’t friendly at all. I went down to ask for a towel and they told me they couldn’t get anymore as housekeeping was gone for the day, I went back and asked for salt and they said the kitchen was locked. The breakfast was subpar! They literally have you choose one of three flavored omelets and serve you some dried up fruit with a spoon of yogurt. They offer coffee or tea for breakfast no juice of any sort. I came to Colombia to get my teeth done so my teeth are quite sensitive, on TWO separate occasions I asked for a straw and they said they didn’t have any… again. Not too picky here but for a “4 star hotel”…Highly disappointed. 😡. A waste of an afternoon switching hotels.
