The staff at this hotel are truly amazing! Initially, I was concerned about the negative reviews, but my experience was completely turned around by the exceptional customer service at the reception and restaurant. The food was fantastic and definitely worth the price. Most importantly, the staff swiftly assisted with changing my room, making my stay even more pleasant. A big thank you to the incredible team for their outstanding hospitality!

Our two-night stay at Altus Hotel Baku was an average experience with both positives and negatives. Upon arrival, we were initially given a room that was not properly cleaned, so we had to be transferred to another room. The second room was better in terms of cleanliness, but we encountered issues with the key card, which needed to be replaced every night. Additionally, we spotted cockroaches in the bathroom, which was quite off-putting. On the positive side, the room itself was quiet, and we had restful sleep. The breakfast selection, however, was quite basic, lacking variety. The package included a massage, and while Katija was decent, the experience wasn’t particularly remarkable. One highlight of our stay was the housekeeper. Despite not speaking English, she was always smiling and ready to help, making the experience a little more pleasant. Overall, our stay was just okay—not terrible, but not something we’d be eager to repeat. The hotel could improve in cleanliness, maintenance, and breakfast options to enhance the guest experience.

1. The hotel advertises itself as 5 or 3 stars, but there are only two stars on the door. 2. We had money stolen during a massage. The hotel promoted a free massage, but it wasn’t really a massage—just someone rubbing our hands. The masseuse stole €80 from our wallet, which was right next to us during the massage. Based on other reviews, this seems to be a common practice. 3. Massage scam. Sexual services were offered at the end of the massage. I refused, but from other comments, I realized this could be part of a scam to get more money out of guests 4. Broken glass in the bathroom. When I arrived and went to shower, I stepped barefoot into the bathtub and found broken glass inside. Glass shards were scattered throughout the room. We asked for it to be cleaned, but it was only partially cleaned the next day, and most of the glass remained. 5. The hotel overcharged us compared to the original Booking.com reservation. 6. Food left in the hallway. When I arrived, there was a plate of food on the floor in the hallway, and it stayed there for the entire three days of our stay. 7. Horrible cleanliness. The floor was stained, and the beds were dirty with hair on the sheets. 8. Staff doesn’t speak English. The staff couldn’t speak English and didn’t help us at all—neither with the issue of the broken glass in the room, nor when we were robbed by the masseuse 9- All day and night are noise. People screaming on the hotel and music loud from the cars outside
