Our stay at The Bush Lodge in Amakhala Game Reserve was unforgettable. The tented rooms were stunning, each with its own private plunge pool and outdoor shower. The game drives were definitely the highlight — getting up close to lions, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and so much more. Our ranger, Brett, was super knowledgeable and made every outing engaging and exciting. The restaurant staff were exceptionally friendly, especially Kayla — she really stood out. A true bucket-list experience from start to finish.

This place is truly amazing the staff were great so friendly from the moment we left. We had drinks waiting for us upon arrival of each safari, we had a bath ran for us everytime we came back from the afternoon safari. AJ was our ranger and did such an amazing job. He managed to find us every single animal in the game reserve and get us so close to experince a truly remarkable moment. He is such a nice guy and really knowledgeable. I would say this is the most stunning place I have ever stayed.

We stayed at Bush Lodge for three nights very recently. Although the property and staff was all pleasant we felt that the food was really quite poor, especially for the high cost of the all inclusive package. Breakfast was good but lunch and dinner were very disappointing. No choice at lunch and the choice of only two dishes for dinner. Not especially good quality ingredients and very little atmosphere in the dining/ lounge area. In consequence guests ate and went to bed. We have spent time in safari lodges previously and we would definitely not recommend Bush Lodge.
