We told our travel agent we wanted to go somewhere remote, beautiful, and high end. She delivered Amangiri. I have never visited an Aman property but was aware of the regard this chain holds. It did not disappoint. Was it expensive, yes. But that is no surprise, so you can't hold that against the brand. You are paying for the privacy, exclusivity, experience, and service all which I feel were met during our stay. We were lucky enough to enjoy Camp Sarika pavillion 5. Our room was wonderful and this Pavillion offered tons of privacy. During our 5 day stay, we had the Camp all to ourselves and it was divine. Beautiful architecture that blends with the natural wonders and a staff who remember everything about you day to day. The spa was our daily treat and we loved the Sea-doo adventure. So happy we made this trip and it was the perfect place to celebrate our 26 year anniversary.

I would like to share my honest feedback regarding our experience from arrival to check-in. I sincerely hope improvements will be made. Is this truly part of the renowned Aman Group? It was difficult to believe. From the very beginning, we were surprised by the unwelcoming attitude at the entrance intercom. We had booked two of the biggest rooms available and this was our second stay, yet we were greeted coldly and without hospitality. We arrived by RV, and in advance, we had clearly communicated via email that there would be six guests and that we would have luggage. Despite this, only one vehicle was sent to pick us up — clearly not enough space for our group and our suitcases. It felt as though the staff lacked the ability to anticipate even the most basic needs. The person who came to pick us up had to confirm every small action with a superior, resulting in delays and inefficiency throughout. This created a poor first impression and caused a significant waste of time. Upon arrival, we were taken not to our rooms, but to a separate check-in area. It would have been far more efficient and comfortable for us to check in directly in our room — especially as we had booked the largest suite with ample space for everyone to relax. Instead, after going through the check-in process, we were then led to our room, only to be asked again for individual signatures to complete check-in. This process felt redundant and unnecessarily complicated. There was a clear lack of foresight and consideration for guest convenience. We also requested assistance for a transfer or possible rental to visit Horseshoe Bend, since we had come by RV. Despite there being staff and vehicles available, we were told there was no availability. This lack of flexibility and problem-solving was disappointing. On a previous stay, we had booked a more basic room and checked in at the main building, which was much more spacious and had a better atmosphere, with a beautifully designed pool area reminiscent of Horseshoe Bend. This time, however, we were taken to a narrow, less pleasant location, and were nearly assigned to dine in that space for breakfast and dinner — unless I specifically requested the main building. I strongly feel that all guests, especially those in top-tier rooms, should be guided to the best available facilities from the beginning. Choosing the best room did not lead to any noticeable improvement in service quality. Sadly, my previous experience had also left a negative impression, and this stay confirmed that service levels remain unchanged even at the highest room category. Overall, the staff across the board seemed indifferent, lacking hospitality and unable to anticipate guests’ basic needs. Efficiency was consistently poor. I truly hope to see meaningful improvements in the future. Thank you for your attention.

Disappointing first impression—especially for a property at this price point Yesterday, we stopped by the gate to kindly ask if we could take a quick look at the property before booking. At over $4,000 per night, we wanted to make sure the investment would be worth it. Unfortunately, the person who responded through the intercom was unhelpful and came across as quite incompetent. She simply kept repeating that bookings are done online, without making any effort to understand our request or offer any kind of support. The interaction gave us the impression that this is not a hotel that truly values its guests or delivers the level of exclusivity it advertises. Instead of asking if we had any specific questions or showing even minimal courtesy, the operator shut down the conversation with a generic response. For a five-star property with such a renowned reputation, we expected far more care, professionalism, and warmth—especially at first contact. Sadly, the experience fell far below those expectations. We ended up choosing a different property where we felt more welcomed and respected from the very beginning.
