This is truly the most stunning and relaxing property. I wanted a true do nothing getaway and was originally going to stay at the Ritz Carlton until I stumbled upon the Amanyara. I was a bit hesitant at first but I’m SO glad I made the choice to stay here. The property is so beautiful, the staff and service are wonderful, and I left the trip already planning when I could return. Even with a full resort there’s such a level of privacy and seclusion that is unparalleled. Definitely worth every penny
Absolutely loved our week at Amanyara. We had amazing weather and the beach was perfect — calm, quiet and the bluest blue I’ve seen in a while. We didn’t experience any bugs or critters anywhere on the property (only a couple flies here and there) and really enjoyed our pool pavilion room. The first night I told guest services that the bed was kind of hard and they literally changed the mattress while we were at the beach and gave us a new, softer one! The available activities here are pretty chill but we still managed to snorkel, sail a catamaran, paddle board, ride bikes to the edge of the property for a little hike, and go to the game room. Every day we said we were going to use the gym, but the beach and pools were so lovely we couldn’t tear ourselves away. We also had an opportunity to tour one of the 4-bedroom beachfront villas and it was spectacular. We booked car service into town one night for dinner and they charged $500 (which is pretty crazy, but I’m assuming it’s to discourage people from leaving the property and so they can recoup lost profit from you not eating at their restaurant). Speaking of their food, it’s the only thing that needs a little work. Some dishes were good, others were kind of bland. Sometimes the food arrived quickly, other times it took a while. So not great consistently there, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker to us and we would totally come back again. We purchased the fast pass customs service, but the airport was pretty quiet on our arrival & departure (we visited after Spring Break). I could see that if you came during a really busy time it would be helpful to have it. Net Net, we had a wonderful stay and are looking forward to visiting another Aman property in the future!
We are just back from this wonderful and in the middle of nowhere resort. It is really far from everything so if you like crowdy places this is not your place. But if you like Nature and silence this is your place. Service at our Villa was perfect. We loved Krishna chef and his staff as well as his wonderful and unique cuisine from Nepal and India and local food of course. The staff was very nice and always helpful. I did not give full 5 star because it is becoming a little bit old. The Gym is in an old building. The villas need some very important updates. Wifi working very bad if not inside which means you cannot use your phone. Location unique. The sea wonderful. The beach needs attention since the sea is 'eating' it thus becoming very narrow. This kind of places very unique need care.
