Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Hotel Free Suvarnabhumi Airport Shuttle

Nice hotel but a bit dated. Room and bathroom could use some updating. Clean overall and staff was friendly. One drawback is there are no shops or restaurants within reasonable walking distance. Quiet with comfortable bed. Good value. Free airport shuttle is a plus. Good breakfast selection served from 6 am to 10:30 am.

Stayed only one night. Location is not bad, but not great. 20 minutes from the airport by car. No restaurants near the hotel. Rooms are great and reception folks were very helpful and efficient. The restaurant service wasn't so good, really slow although the place wasn't full.

This is an older hotel, as seen from its classic wooden furniture and traditional design. However, the place is well-maintained — clean, spacious, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s located about 20 minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport, not quite close tho. That said, there are several areas that need improvement. The food, especially the breakfast buffet, lacks variety. Surprisingly, bacon wasn’t included and came at an extra charge. Another major issue is the persistent smell of cigarette smoke throughout the hotel — a proper air filtration and deodorizing system is much needed. The air-conditioning unit is old but still working, though it doesn’t cool the room very well. The TV is outdated (not a smart TV). In my room, the bidet spray was oddly placed on the left side, which may be inconvenient for most right-handed users. Water pressure was good, but the showerhead was old and awkward to use. The fridge was also very small. Overall, the hotel has potential with its solid foundation and good service, but modern updates are definitely needed.
