Shama 47 in Bangkok offers a convenient location, particularly for those needing proximity to a hospital, as many of its guests appeared to be patients recovering. While the hotel has its merits, our stay was marred by a few notable issues. Upon entering our room, we were immediately greeted by the distinct smell of cigarette smoke, which was quite unpleasant and persistent throughout our stay. This significantly detracted from the comfort of the room. We also observed that a considerable number of guests seemed to be patients, which is understandable given the hotel's location. However, this occasionally led to disruptions. Some nights, the noise level from other guests was quite high, and we frequently noticed trash bags left outside room doors for extended periods, which impacted the overall cleanliness and ambiance of the hallways. While Shama 47 is a perfectly functional place to stay, these issues meant it wouldn't be our first choice for future visits to Bangkok. In fact, we ultimately decided to cut our planned stay short and booked another hotel elsewhere, as the accumulated discomforts outweighed the convenience.
