Our stay at Hotel Amarina was very enjoyable. The location is a big plus – very close to the airport. The staff was extremely kind, always helpful but never intrusive, which we really appreciated. The rooms were cleaned very thoroughly every day. The hotel has a cozy and intimate atmosphere, and we never had any trouble finding a free sunbed. The food was a bit repetitive, but if you're not too demanding, you'll definitely find something you like. Overall, we had a great time and we’re seriously considering coming back again.
The quality of a hotel is known in a crisis situation. And this hotel absolutely failed. As soon as you leave the hotel gates, you cease to exist for them. They simply stop communicating. They do not reply to emails, messages, etc. Nothing. In previous reviews, one client complained that the hotel does not care about lost things. And that is my case as well. Immediately after leaving, I found out that I had forgotten an external drive connected to the TV in my room #367. I immediately contacted the hotel reception with a request via message and email. And as I already wrote… NOTHING… you simply leave and they do not care anymore. This is definitely not the behavior of a 5* hotel. Terrible, unprofessional, inhuman. Never again. And I warn others. Take good care of your things!
Terrible experience – I strongly advise against staying here I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. The overall experience was extremely disappointing. Location: The hotel is situated in an isolated area with nothing nearby except construction sites and desert. There is a hotel under construction right next door, so there is constant noise throughout the day. Rooms: The rooms are poorly maintained, furnished with old, worn-out furniture. There is a persistent smell of sewage and dirt. Even when requesting fresh bed linen, housekeeping often ignores the request unless you insist multiple times. Cleanliness: The entire resort has an unpleasant and strong sewage odor that is impossible to ignore. Food & Drinks: The food options are very limited, repetitive, and lack any real flavor. There are no alternatives nearby to buy food from. Alcohol is of very low quality, and soft drinks like Coca-Cola come from dispensers and taste nothing like real Coca-Cola – they taste almost like detergent. If you request bottled drinks, the answer is always no. Service: The staff generally lack professionalism and are not helpful. Most requests are met with a blunt refusal: bottled water? No. Fresh mint? No. Ice? Not now. It feels as though the service quality depends entirely on offering cash tips. Overall: I have stayed in other resorts in Hurghada, but I have never encountered anything this bad. Everything here seems focused only on taking extra money from guests, rather than providing a good experience. For these reasons, I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. It was truly a terrible experience.
