Amarterra Villas Resort Bali Nusa Dua Autograph Collection

We began our honeymoon at Amarterra Villas Nusa Dua – and it was the perfect way to start this special trip. The villa was beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly private – everything we hoped for and more. A special thank you to Dede for being so flexible and allowing us to experience the Deluxe Villas as well – it really made our stay extra memorable. The entire staff was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. And the spa treatment? Absolutely 10/10 – one of the best we’ve had anywhere in Bali. We couldn’t have asked for a better beginning to our honeymoon. Highly recommended for couples looking for a romantic and relaxing getaway!

The villa is beautifully designed. Lush plants and thoughtful gardening make every corner scenic and photogenic. The setup is unique, with each unit having its own private garden and pool. Service is great too; everything gets delivered straight to your room. We could easily stay in all day without getting bored. My wife actually did and loved it. Now the downside: mosquitoes. We stayed in June and they were a real issue. At any time, especially mornings and evenings, a few were always hovering around. Sit down for a meal and you are on the menu as well. I killed more than ten mosquitoes in just fifteen minutes one evening. This would not be such a big deal if the layout were not semi-outdoor. The living room and kitchen are open air, with only the bedroom and bathroom enclosed. We ended up eating in the bedroom just to avoid being bitten. I thought it might be seasonal, but after checking out and visiting other nearby spots, the problem was not nearly as bad elsewhere. That is why I am docking one star.

Quite disappointing. Overall experience was okay, but some things could have been way better. Facilities were stunning and the villa was fantastic, but the service is not up to the expectations of a 5-star hotel. We had several situations during our 4-day stay (having to wait until 4:30PM to check in our villa, terrible experience with the transfer driver who even approached and threaten us during breakfast, not getting our villa cleaned until late in the afternoon… and many other bad experiences). This hotel is probably not the best choice if you’re seeking a 5-star experience.
