Amatara Hotel

We had a very pleasant stay at the Amatara Hotel Phimai. Perfectly situated at the entrance of the town, this hotel offers a convenient base for your stay. You'll find temples and local amenities just a short walk away. The hotel also features a small gym for guests to use and provides a bicycle, which is available for guests who wish to explore the town at their own pace. Also the views to the river are quiet something. We took the cheapest room, which was cozy and spacious enough for our needs. It had a nice-sized balcony, though there was no place to sit. The bathroom was big, and the views from the room were lovely. Everything was very clean. Upon check-in, we had to pay a 400 baht deposit. In the morning, we were pleased to find free coffee, tea, and toast, which was a great way to start the day. Another bonus was the late checkout time of 12 PM. The staff were friendly and professional, and the hotel was within walking distance of the temple area. For a one-night stay, we couldn't have asked for more!

Came here again after 6 years. Still a good choice and good value for your money. The price for a double was 600 Bath. The rooms are spacious and clean. Beds are ok and the aircon worked well. We had rooms on the 4th floor facing the river. They have balconies and you always have a breeze of fresh air and perfekt view in the morning. The hotel is easy to reach. It is located between a quiet river and a small park. Phi Mai Historical Park is in walking distance. The restaurant only serves breakfast but there are enough places around where you find everything from good street food to restaurants. If you want to stay just a few nights close to the town, i recommend that place.
