We were really excited to book this apartment in Sitges - said it was central and family friendly. On arrival we found no reception - luckily spoke to housekeeping staff who explained we needed to walk another 1km to Hotel Platja de Golf to collect our key. Generally the room had what we expected - quite basic. Good size fridge and freezer, 2 hobs and microwave for cooking. Bedding was not great - needed extra sheets to protect from the scratchy blankets. 1-2 more pillows needed. Swimming pool was fine - expected it to be a bit chilly, and it was. Kids pool was empty of water. Our main concern with the place was that it says it is family friendly, however it seemed like there were a lot of groups of men in the apartments who made quite a bit of noise. Unfortunately it didn't feel safe for my family to use the pool as the groups were on the balconies and staring at whoever was in the pool. Not nice, and not family friendly at all. It's a good location - not central - but as we found, the walk into the main part of town using the beach walk was really lovely. Absolutely love Sitges, a really fantastic town. These apartments have a few things that should be done just to make it a little better, feel safer and more welcoming.
Very sparse apartment. Has the bare necessities but lacks in comfort. Water dripping through the ceiling. Lots of noise from upstairs. The pool looked like a construction site. Wifi doesn’t reach into the room or anywhere around the building (I stayed in “Mustapha”. Reception is a 28 minute walk away and no shuttle or taxi provided.
Location is 500m away from check-in, the hotel offers no method of transportation. This was a bit deceptive based on what had been booked. Fine if you have a backpack, but if you're landing with kids after a long flight with suitcases that you now have to carry across town, it's an awful check-in experience. Typical of Sitges customer service, the explanation from staff is unapologetic and that "it's better than it used to be". If you know Sitges and are comfortable with that attitude, I guess you know what you're getting, but if you have any normal expectations of customer service, better to stay somewhere else. The pool also seemed like it had not been cleaned recently.
