The 5 star BnB is a privately owned small enterprise. It is located in a rather nice neighbourhood about an hour from London Center using public transport that is quite close. The nearest tube station is roughly five minutes walk away. All the other services one might need, like grocery shops are even closer. The rooms are not very big, but two people can manage. There is a common kitchen that is well equipped and in almost all the rooms there is a fridge and a kettle. The highlight of the place is the owner, Sandy, though. She is definitely the Best host I have ever met. We were very displeased with the room we got initially and she really went out of her way to please us. If there is any reason to stay here, it is her. Enjoy your stay
The location is great – very close to the underground, and the surrounding area is full of beautiful houses. There’s also a nice spot nearby for breakfast. The host responded fairly quickly to messages. The decor of the house was lovely, and I especially liked the terrace – it was a nice place to enjoy breakfast or relax in the evening. Unfortunately, cleanliness was an issue – there were cobwebs on the ceiling, and the water didn’t drain properly in the bathroom. The sink was also clogged. The Wi-Fi was terrible – even YouTube wouldn’t load on the TV. Regarding check-in, I didn’t receive any instructions beforehand. I arrived from Luton Airport, exhausted and soaked from heavy rain, and there was no sign or information that indicated this was the right place. I had to figure everything out myself. I only got the code to collect the keys once I was already standing outside the property, wet and tired. In my opinion, check-in instructions should be sent at least 24 hours in advance. Also, guests are asked to wear slippers instead of shoes in the house – which is understandable – but I doubt those slippers are disinfected between guests. I didn’t feel comfortable using them as I was worried about hygiene and potential infections.
Rooms are nice, great distance from the tube, internet is kinda garbage at times. My biggest gripe was that I couldn't get a good sleep due to the fact that the bed was simply a box spring with a cheap piece of foam and padding on top, I don't appreciate giving my money to cheapskates. Save your back the pain, go somewhere they'll actually invest in a proper mattress.
