Amba Taipei Zhongshan

This was a pleasant stay. I visited this hotel during my business trip and took my family here while we were visiting Taipei. Beds are comfortable. Rooms are kept clean. There is no noise. On each floor there is a comfortable common area with places to sit and a table. There is a laundry guests can use, that helps during longer stays. Service is very friendly. There was no problem with using English. There was also no problem with me trying out my broken Chinese. Breakfasts are tasty and definitely worth the money. The hotel is located in the middle of Zhongshan with easy access to red and green MRT lines. There is no gym, swimming pool or posh (the hotel offers you to do your laundry yourself), but during our entire stay I felt welcomed, safe and cozy. I would like to stay here again during our next visit to Taipei.

Nice boutique hotel with comfortable room at a great location. The deluxe twin room with balcony was very spacious and comfortable. It’s very quiet and sound proof. Location is great. There are several convenience stores all within walking distance and many good coffee places nearby. Zhongshan station is also just 10 mins away. There’s also a bus stop just in front of the hotel.

Decent hotel, but a bit weird. Very small elevators and a large communal area outside the rooms. The bathrooms have the sink outside and the toilet and the shower are in the same space, which has a glass door with no lock. Big, fancy shower, tiny space around the toilet. Queen size bed that's reasonably comfortable. The room has all the amenities you'd expect including a small fridge. The WiFi access point on the desk is a bit weird though. Our room was right above the "American" restaurant that's on the ground floor and you could smell the grease smell from the restaurant in the room. Ok location wise.
