Most modern hotel in Speyer. Navigating the hotel and parking (1 block away, pay at the lot 8€ per 24 hours) can be confusing your first stay but eventually makes sense. Very cool lobby and bar although service can be slow when busy. Solid breakfast, but unfortunately no lunch or dinner in the hotel. Location though is great at the end of Maximillianstasse (main old town) with lots of restaurants and some bars and shops nearby. Main tourist attractions are walkable. Also one of the few hotels in Speyer with AC & modern elevators.

Welcome was special.... show your name from computer. Ok. Your room number is 2xy and take your key from a table over there.... Real warm welcome.... not. Room temp 17c. Over night got up to 21c. Rooms are all over the building like a maze. To find the breakfast room - you must be a professional orienteerer. Probably not coming here again.

Can not recommend to arrive later at evening when the reception is closed! The lockers are sometimes not filled with the correct room cards and the automated room card dispenser does not work since many month! Today's nightmare was a room card that did not work! Even after a prior call to the reception that this time they should please insure that I can get in my room!! - only chance is than to call emergency number of the hotel for a security person that needs 1h!! To arrive from worms a town far away - incredible when such persons than explain they have to come so often to this hotel for same reason of missing or non operational room cards. What a shame for a hotel in such good location down town ((((
