Americas Best Value Dakota Cowboy Inn

Located in the heart of Custer so location is good. The motel itself was old and broke down looking. The room smelled musty, bed was hard and only thin blanket and sheet on the bed. Thank goodness the A/C worked great. The pool was a broke down falling apart hole in the ground. There was a nice tv in the room. Depending on what your needs are be careful of this one. The price is great but you get what you pay for. It’s a bed and a shower. Don’t expect a homey comfortable stay.

Online the pictures looked very inviting and although the room did look appealing at first when I looked closer it was not clean! The sheets were stained, no bathmat in bathroom and not enough towels or washt towels for the shower! In time I think this could be a very nice hotel but right now we got no sleep!! Also, the outside was not handicap assessable and no handicap parking! And very little breakfast selection!

We slept well enough but....the price should have been 39$. The only saving grace is that the people behind the counter were very nice and let us print something without charging us. When we arrived the sink was full of dirt and there was a mostly used carton of milk in the fridge. I cleaned the sink only to find out out that by using the shower there was more gunk in the sink. Pretty disgusting.
