One of the most incredible hotels I’ve stayed at recently! The atmosphere here is absolutely unique — the building’s history, once the departure point for people chasing their dreams to America, adds a special charm. The breakfast is outstanding, with one of the best Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had in my life. The room was small but very cozy and truly luxurious. Everything — from the design to the philosophy of the place — left me beyond impressed. Pure joy to stay here!
Great place to stay. Rooms were good size, beauty rain shower and the bed was comfy. The morning breakfast had a ton of choices. The location is steps away from Oslo Central Station, and lots of shops and amenities within walking distance. There is a transit line outside, and had recycling trucks outside early so it wasn't as quiet as we hoped. Not a cheap stay (work trip), but if it's in your budget it's worth a stay.
We recently stayed three nights at the hotel and overall had a great experience. The check-in process was a breeze and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was magnificent and is almost worth the stay itself. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We paid for the superior balcony room which turned out to be a let down. The balcony was very small and didn’t come with any chairs or tables as depicted in the pictures (we did however see these on others). Ours faced inwards and the view was of the construction site next doors which had covered the balcony its very thick layer of dust. Between the lack of seating, view of the construction site, and cleanliness, the balcony wasn’t usable. If we stay again, we will opt for the standard room (preferably exterior facing for views) and save the money. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant one evening and were advised that the wait time for the food would be significant due to a 15 person table which seemed like a restaurant should be able to handle. We chose to stay and the food arrived sooner than expected and was good. Throughout the stay the staff and food were 5 stars. Due to paying more for a “superior” room that wasn’t usable, the stay gets 3.5 stars.
