Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City

Our hotel was 10 minutes away so we decided to try our luck. The casino is really nice but I’m a penny machine type of girl. I couldn’t really tell which machines were what due to there not really being any signs. I wanted to try the roulette table but it seemed there was only room for 2 people total ? I’m not sure. The staff was really nice though and i did win my money back

The casino was just busy enough to have fun. The restaurants were all good with a variety of food options. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was due to the smoking allowed on the casino floor, which is common for casinos.

My experience at this casino hotel was far from enjoyable. From the moment I walked in, the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke made the entire place feel like an ashtray. The room was a letdown, the carpet was dirty, the towels felt like sandpaper, and the baseboards looked like they hadn’t been dusted in months. Basic amenities were missing, including a microwave and even proper blankets. The location wasn’t ideal, and parking for hotel guests was poorly managed and incredibly inconvenient. As for the service, it was lackluster at best. Staff seemed disengaged and uninterested in helping. I expected a much higher standard for the price and setting. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning or recommending this property to anyone. Save yourself the disappointment, find another casino in KC!
