Lovely B&B! Our suite was spacious and had everything we needed. It was a beautiful departure from your standard modern hotel, giving the vibes that we truly were staying in old Savannah. The house itself is gorgeous with a nice outdoor terrace. The manager was very friendly and helpful, offering suggestions when asked. The breakfast and snacks were incredibly delicious. Would absolutely stay here again!
We had an absolute lovely stay here! Chemise is by far the best host, she is so kind, sweet and easy to engage in conversation with! But hands down…her cooking is AMAZING, we looked forward to breakfast every single morning and her little treats in the afternoon/evening. Her coconut grits and carrot bread were to die for. We stayed in the Ivy room, very roomy, shower was HUGE and the fact that the toilet had its own room/door to it…even better! Bed was the comfiest bed we have ever had while not being home. We were happy to see a small desk fan in the room too, it helped keep the room cooler during the day! We were so close to everything too! We loved being able just to walk a few minutes to where we needed to go. We only drove to the river when we knew we were spending the day down there, but it’s literally less than 2 miles from the inn. We plan on coming back, this is definitely a top pick for us when we now stay in Savannah.
I appreciated that our room had direct access to the downstairs entrance-it made coming and going much easier without having to tackle the steep stairs. The house and room were beautifully decorated and felt cozy. We also loved the inn's location-within walking distance to both town and the park. Bottled water and sweet treats in the room was a nice touch, thank you. I'm not sure if the staff forgot to remove the bath towels from the bathroom floor before our arrival. I asked my daughter if she had placed them there, but she said they were already there when she first used the bathroom. It made me wonder if they were left by a previous guest, which was a bit off-putting and unfortunately set the tone for the rest of our stay. As for breakfast, it wasn't a matter of taste, but rather selection-grits and pear aren't personal favorites. Also the coffee machine was a bit tricky to figure out, especially first thing in the morning.
