Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at this resort! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was outstanding — every staff member we encountered was warm, attentive, and truly made us feel at home. The food was simply delicious, offering a variety of dishes that pleased everyone in our family. Each meal was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The serene spa experience was a true highlight — peaceful, rejuvenating, and exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. The entire resort radiated tranquility and charm, making it the perfect place to unwind together. We are so grateful for the amazing service and memorable moments we shared here.
A Paradise We’ll Always Remember We’ve just returned from Amilla Maldives after spending an unforgettable family holiday with our daughters (aged 10 and 14). It truly was a magical experience — one that will stay with us forever. The island is breathtaking, surrounded by crystal-clear waters and untouched nature. Our villa was cozy, elegant, and perfect for relaxing and enjoying quality time together. The culinary experience was outstanding. A special mention goes to the Japanese restaurant Feeling Koi, where every dinner was a delight — beautifully crafted dishes in a stunning setting by the sea. The excursions and activities were thoughtfully planned and had something for all ages. On some evenings, we had the pleasure of enjoying live music by The Sandstone, adding a lovely and relaxed touch to the atmosphere. But what truly sets Amilla apart is its people. Our heartfelt thanks to: • Gondo, for always being attentive and making sure everything was perfect for us. • Yasin, for his natural gift for connecting with guests and his warm, caring service. • Dewi, for starting each morning with her bright smile and uplifting spirit. • Yeli, for her kindness and thoughtful service in every detail. • Rahat, for looking after our villa with such dedication and care. • And Areesha, for her warm and helpful assistance from the very first moment at Malé airport. Thank you to the entire Amilla team for making our stay so special. We’ll be back soon!
Amilla Maldives is an absolutely stunning destination – it truly feels like heaven on earth. I had the pleasure of celebrating my wife’s 33rd birthday here, spending nearly a week in July. We stayed in the Sunset Water Pool Villa. 🏝️ Overall, the room is incredibly spacious. The king-sized bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in at any hotel or resort. There’s also a private pool with a breathtaking view of the sea, which was absolutely stunning and picture-perfect. 📸 We arrived during the monsoon season, and while the weather was unpredictable, we were fortunate that it was kind to us for most of our stay. Thanks to that, we were able to enjoy a variety of activities, including snorkeling, diving, cycling, fishing, sailing, and exploring the island. 🏝️ We also adored how the villa is directly connected to the open sea by a small ladder at the back of the pool. Although we didn’t get to snorkel much because of the strong currents, the constant sound of the waves added a peaceful, soothing vibe to the whole experience 🌊 Amilla had about seven restaurants, each offering a range of different cuisines. With all due respect to the chefs, we found ourselves most drawn to the Japanese restaurant and Joe’s Pizza. The others were solid but just above average for us. For fun, we even gave each place a personal rating based on our own taste preference 🤤:- [1] 🇯🇵 Feeling Koi - 8/10 [2] 🇬🇷 Tessera - 6.5/10 [3] 🇮🇹 Barolo - 6.5/10 [4) 🇮🇳 East - 6.5/10 [5] 🍕 Joe's Pizza - 8/10 [6] 🥪 Fresh - 7/10 [7] 👑 Emperor Beach Club - 7/10 The daily activities within the resort were wholesome, engaging, and refreshing - keeping us entertained throughout our entire stay. We also appreciated how every member of the Amilla staff greeted us with a warm smile, no matter where we went 😊 Special shoutout to: 🥰 Sam for taking extremely good care of us and being so accomodating throughout our entire stay, you are the best and we miss you! 🥰 Dania for the great experience in the sea. Thank you for bringing us to see the magical Manta and for the wonderful diving session 🥰 Sotti for bringing us snorkelling and seeing more than 10 sea turtles - How lucky we were! 🥰🥰Dewi and Ann for the exceptional out-of-this-world body spa massage session which was unforgettable. A-Must-Try!!! 🥰Selina for the fun-DIY-exfoliation. Your laughter / chuckle during the face scrubbing is contagious haha 🥰Ratna for the zen-ness, and making us sweat and ache through your Yoga class 🥰Cheff Naff for showing us around the garden and how to dish up a Maldivian local cuisine 🥰Dewi for making my wife's bday dinner at the beach a memorable one. You were really kind! 🥰Amaan for taking good quality shots of us during the photo taking session around the island 🥰Ahmed for keeping the room clean and comfy every single day throughout our stay, and thank you for the lovely decoration set-up for my wife's bday [For Betterment 👍🏼] While it wasn’t a major concern for us at the time, the room's interior does feel a bit dated and could benefit from a refresh. There are also a few points I’d like to respectfully highlight for consideration in future improvements: [1] The bathroom and shower tiles showed signs of staining and mold, with visible cracks present. [2] It seems the air conditioning might need servicing. The room we stayed in didn’t cool down properly, even after we reached out to the staff for assistance on the second night. [3] Due to the bad weather, the patio deck umbrella was left leaning against the walls near the outdoor showers, which could potentially be a hazard. [4] Given the cost of staying at Amilla, it would be a thoughtful gesture to offer complimentary in-room snacks and drinks, rather than charging guests for them. [5] It might be worth considering a broader variety in the breakfast menu, as the options became quite repetitive after six days, especially with only one restaurant available. [6] It would be a great opportunity to enhance the quality and appearance of the life jackets provided in the villa.
