Hotel looks great with nice lobby. Hotel location excellent with stunning views of the ocean.Pool area looks nice with play facilities for the kids that needs to be entirely shad clothed. The pool has 2 swim up bars. One adult swim up bar and the other in the kids area.The kids area swim up bar is never staffed with a few slushy machines that are always empty with nobody freshening them up on a daily basis.Not a packet of chips in sight or snacks for kids at the bar. Pool side service is poor.If I owned this hotel I would be absolutely mad with the lost opportunity for extra revenue by the pool. Pool area opens at 8am which is too late in my opinion and the staff are still rushing around after 8am setting up lounges ,cabanas and umbrellas. Also loose the towel cards by the pool with one towel per person rule.Five star means give customers what they want,if they need a second towel let them have it. Now the restaurant.This area rates one star. Breakfast has about 100 to 150 people at any one time sometimes more. I had to wait 20min to toast one piece of bread as it only has one 4 slice toaster for the a 630 room hotel. Mr or Mrs owner invest in at least 2 proper commercial conveyor style toasters or drop your rating to a 3 stars. On the 3 occasions I had breakfast the clean cereal bowls were empty every time.Kitchen staff to slow replenishing plates bowls and cutlery. Room cleaning could have been better.I doubt they sweep or vacuum clean the floors every time they clean the room. This hotel has the bones to be really top notch hotel.However the upper management are either inexperienced or no good at their job.I think the owners need to stay at this hotel under cover to see how much opportunity has been lost.

Very nice and modern hotel located at the beach front. It has a lovely pool and there were plenty of sunbeds available Lets talk about the food, It's just like a big canteen with most junk food to make one's full. Very limited variety of fruits and vegetables. Usually with low quality which almost gone. I would expect in a five star hotel to have real fruit juice for breakfast not like just sugar. Usually very crowed at the breakfast and dinner. This hotel doesn't even come close in terms of food quality and variety. The noise insulation is not sufficient enough for people who want to sleep. At 5 a.m. you might be waking up by children cry and it's like it's happening in your room. Also our family vacation ended up discovering at home and some of our medicine (vitamins) were taken by cleaning staff (it's 100% percent we are sure for that), almost nothing left in the bottles. After contacting hotel about this issue by e-mail, not a single response received after a week. Management of the hotel and staff training need to improve to give customers value for money as this is not a cheap hotel to stay at. Definitely do not recommend this hotel. Never come back.

Disappointing Stay – Definitely Not 5 Stars I had high expectations for Khalani Makarska given its 5-star rating, but unfortunately, it fell far short. The hotel is overpriced for what it offers — you're essentially paying luxury rates for a very average experience. We are visiting with three rooms with an average of €450 per room. The place is constantly overcrowded, making it difficult to enjoy any of the advertised amenities. Good luck finding a sunbed — they’re always taken, and there’s no proper system in place to manage them. Worse yet, the hotel is clearly understaffed. Long waits at reception, overworked staff at the bar and restaurant, and generally poor service throughout. It feels chaotic and not at all relaxing. The breakfast is a complete chaos with people and tables so close to each other that you cant even get out of a chair Honestly, this place is a scammy attempt at luxury. It might have the look of a 5-star resort, but it absolutely does not deliver the experience. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for true comfort, relaxation, or value for money.
