Well appointed, luxury level. We were a group of nine, with young adults and super senior. The level of facilities are on par with luxury level but in a dedicated villa in a coffee plantation. The architecture is well preserved classical architecture, it is a quiet area and not too far from Madikeri and the stay includes access to the Taj Madikeri facilities. The food is made to choice with staff available on the property and cater to your needs very well. The chef is well versed with Indian cooking, the western or international visiting options were limited. Comfortable, clean, high levels of service with the Taj-ness. The property supervisor Sachin is extremely helpful and available with local information and ready to please, excellent group of service staff.

We had a very nice stay as a family of 9 at Rare Earth Estate. Our ages ranged from 80 to 11. The staff were wonderful, the food served varied and of high quality. The ambience is wonderful too, inside and outside. The accommodation is pretty with lots of antique touches. However, the proprietors could improve the water heating system -- lots of water wasted before hot water emerges. The electricals also need looking at as the power went several times during our stay, but always for short periods. Overall, impressed with the AMA homestay concept, and will explore other AMA properties in the future. Thank you especially to Mr Satshish, Sachin and the cook Mr Singh for going out of their way to look after us.

Took my family of two kids and a spouse. Had booked the whole place ( only option) and initially I was feeling that i was splurging But having the whole house to yourself, getting food prepared as per your needs, being able to loll around in the garden.
