Reasonable price hotel with a nice view of the bridge connecting Brazil and Paraguay. The view at night is even better. There's some construction and remodeling going on inside so it's a bit loud, but luckily none during the night. The lobby gets a bit warm. Rooms have AC which is very nice. There's a fitness center as well. It is warm in there and feels like a sauna. The AC didn't really help much.

The location was great. First room had a defective ac system. (Stuff happens) however, the staff said it was fixed. It was not fixed. I called the desk again and they said another repair guy would come up. After 30 minutes and no repair personnel, I called the front desk. The refused to pick up. It was 11p. So I dressed, walked to the desk. There were 2 people there that chose not to answer the phone. They just gave me new keys. So I had to get my retired mother out of bed and move to another room with zero porter help. We get to the "new" room. I try to take a shower to cool off. (It never got below 82 in the first room. When I turned off the shower the knob off in my hand. Another round of repair people. Tomorrow, I am confident the knob wl fall of again. Problems happen and I understand. However, when your response is so terrible, that's inexcusable.

The room smells weird, could be the smell after cleaning. However it smells oddly like cheap, chemical products. The WiFi is very shaky and the TV is insanely slow to load. We were outright denied room service for dinner. We were pushed to go to the buffet outside which was very loud, with a DJ that we heard from our room (a birthday was celebrated and hoping the birthday boy/girl had a great time). We needed to leave the hotel for the meal. Consider that our day was long and strenuous in addition to this. And of course, English, THE international language, was badly spoken by the staff. Who would in their right mind call this a 5 star hotel? Please. This is by no means a 5 star hotel. A pretty lobby and a pool does not give you rights to invent stars.
