ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Kumamoto Newsky

First room was very small, and the curtain area was almost all wall with a tiny windows in the corner. Was moved to accommodate a group of HS students occupying several floors. Second room was much more spacious and had a beautiful city view. The complimentary breakfast buffet was excellent. Many restaurants and sites within 15 minutes walking time. Will stay here again.

Stayed at ANA Crowne Plaza Kumamoto New Sky as an IHG Platinum member and received a nice room upgrade. The room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. However, the Wi-Fi connection was extremely weak and almost unusable throughout my stay, which was disappointing. Also, there are no convenience stores nearby, so I hope the hotel can enhance the better-stocked minibar or provide vending machines to improve guest convenience.

As a Diamond Elite member, I'll never forget the special treatment I received at this lovely hotel. Upon return to my room around 4:00 PM, I saw the door being left ajar. After waiting for a couple of minutes, I knocked on the door. Hearing no response, I entered the room. To my shock, there's nobody inside! The bed wasn't made and there's a rag left in the bathroom sink. I went to the front desk to find out what happened and was told the cleaning crew (third party contractor) was already gone for the day. In other words, a cleaner entered my room, left the door open using the swing bar lock, then took off!
