Ananda Museum Gallery Hotel Sukhothai

If you love antique stuff, this is the place for you. The room is nice and the price is reasonable. However, the location is a bit off-centre. They also offer free access to the museum inside. A lot of hotel decorations are truly antique.

This hotel is slightly strange in being in a unique building with simply furnished rooms. Being in a hot location requires the air conditioning in your room to be run non stop. The breakfast is simple and adequate but it seems they serve no lunches or dinner. Being located out of the town centre requires you to have a car as there are no passing songtaews or tuk tuks. However the drive to the Sukhothai Historical Park is easy and takes no more than 15 minutes. The unique feature of this hotel is the adjacent museum which has a wonderful selection of historical treasures. It is well laid out and a very pleasant way to spend time in air conditioned comfort. As it is a private museum there is an admission fee that is very reasonable and you are given a guidance leaflet to use, and return at the end of your tour.

I want to write this for my daughter who has to stay here because of her university. The room she stay is not normal, they use the blanket that not go with the bed. It is like they don’t have enough and find anything to be a spare. The floor is dusty like no customer use for so long. When open the refrigerator, there is a spider web. Worst, no staffs to show up all 4 days of their stay. I tried to help my daughter call the hotel, but no one pick up. The room that my daughter stay is 2205. Moreover, the school assign 3 people in one room, there is supposed to have extra bed, but this room only have one king size bed while other rooms of her friends is prepared properly.
