Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam

We initially selected the hotel due to its prime location. Subsequently, we read its historic background and confirmed that we had made a good decision. It is situated in the heart of Amsterdam, providing convenient access to all areas of the city within 30 minutes by bus, tram, or train. The canal is located directly behind the hotel. The location is undoubtedly exceptional. The hotel staff were welcoming, friendly, and professional. We booked a room with a view, but unfortunately, the late-night noise from intoxicated individuals on the street disrupted our sleep. Consequently, they upgraded our room to a junior suite on the opposite side of the building with a better view and quiet nights. As we all know, exceptional service is paramount, but it's impossible sometimes, especially in the peak travel season. So, we felt thankful for that and appreciated their prompt response and assistance. Moreover, upon learning that we were on our anniversary trip, they delivered champagne and chocolates to our room for celebration. Their hospitality is exceptionally outstanding. We highly recommend breakfasts at the Wintergarden restaurant, as the cuisine is exceptionally delicious. During our stay, we were impressed to find that the staff recognized us on our second visit for breakfast. How impressive! They also prepared a to-go table with freshly baked pastries, fruits, and juices conveniently located at the entrance for those who would like to take some refreshments for the road on their day trip; it's truly exceptional and considerate.

Anantara is truly outstanding perfect location, world-class hospitality, and a breakfast that’s both fresh and full of variety. The staff are genuinely caring, always ready to help, and go above and beyond to make your stay special. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed with every little comfort thoughtfully provided. The atmosphere is peaceful yet vibrant the facilities are top-notch and every corner of the property feels luxurious. It’s not just a stay it’s an experience you’ll want to repeat.

One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I booked this hotel expecting a 5-star experience and paid over $3,000, but what I got was closer to a 2-star stay. First, the room service is absolutely horrendous. The night menu has only 3–4 unappetizing options, and the breakfast presentation is so poor it felt like a basic diner, not a luxury hotel. Second, the lobby is tacky and completely lacks class. It does not match the elegance suggested by the photos online. The biggest disappointment was the room itself, I chose this hotel based on bright, welcoming photos. Instead, I walked into what felt like a dungeon. The elevators are outdated and slow, adding even more frustration to the stay. The only redeeming quality might have been the location, but unfortunately, there are many nearby hotels in the same area that are far superior. Do yourself a favor!!!! stay somewhere else. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone
