What a beautiful 5 star hotel experience. You pay a bit more by Vietnamese standards but it is worth it. Rooms were super comfy, great air con, delicious breakfast, the pool was 5 stars. We enjoyed a barbecue lunch by the pool along with a mojito. Extremely friendly staff and attentive. I would definitely stay here again. ❤️
In arrival was treated by the most friendliest staff who made the place a very warm and welcoming. Took an upgrade room to a larger room which was absolutely fabulous. The location is perfect to get round the town and close to the markets, coffee shops, wine bars and restaurants. Over looking the river makes it a very scenic view to look at the boats going past with the patterns all light up. Have 2 restraunts one being Vietnamese and one western so cater for a wide variety of flavours. But due to location if fancy eating out its handle located to numerous other eating places.
I recently stayed at Anantara Hoi An Resort and unfortunately, my experience was quite underwhelming. While the hotel’s location is undeniably excellent — just a short walk from the Old Town and the riverside walking streets — the overall quality of the stay did not meet my expectations, especially considering the price and the hotel’s reputation. First of all, the room I stayed in looked significantly different from the photos shown on the website. The images online created the impression of a bright, luxurious, and spacious room, but in reality, the furnishings were dated, the space felt cramped, and there was a noticeable musty smell in the room. It was not the comfortable or elegant atmosphere I had hoped for. The breakfast buffet was another disappointment. The selection was very limited, and the quality of the food was average at best. For a hotel in this category, I expected a more diverse and fresh spread, especially considering the rich culinary culture of Hội An. Staff interaction was also lacking. While no one was outright rude, I found the service to be passive and unengaged. At times when assistance was clearly needed, the staff did not take initiative to offer help, which left a cold impression. Frankly, I would rate the room and service quality below 3 stars, and I believe this explains why the hotel seemed rather empty during my stay. That being said, its convenient location is a major plus, and for that reason alone, I’m giving this hotel 3 stars.
