Anantara New York Palace Budapest A Leading Hotel of the World

I had a wonderful stay at the Anantara New York Budapest Hotel. The staff were friendly, accommodating and professional. They greeted me as a special guest and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. They were always available to answer any of my questions or respond to a request. The White Salon Restaurant was relaxing and wait staff extremely attentive. The cold salmon appetizer in mustard and dill sauce became a favorite and I ordered it 2 nights in a row. The dining room, which overlooks the famous cafe was stunningly beautiful and elegant. I highly recommend this hotel, with its fabulous location and staff.

The hotel is very opulent and tastefully decorated. Our junior suite room was incredible and worth every penny. The small terrace with seating was semiprivate and was a welcome addition. Lastly, the staff was absolutely on point and amazing. Oh and the New York Cafe is attached and as a hotel guest you don’t have to wait in the public line outside 😉. Don’t hesitate booking your room.

We had dinner here. Personally think it’s a lot of hype for a very ordinary experience! People probably go there to take photos rather than enjoy good food. Service was bad from the get go. They act as if we are imposing! Servers in budapest tend to be a bit dry but these guys were borderline rude. Maybe they are overworked. Food was decent but again, nothing out of ordinary! Shiny and ornate ceilings if that’s your thing! If you are hungry and craving good food, maybe look somewhere else! Disclaimer, we only had vegetarian dishes. Maybe rest of the menu might be top notch. We did not enjoy our experience here and could not wait to get out!
