Anantaya Resort and Spa Chilaw

Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel and resort near the beach! The location is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms are spacious with stylish interiors that made our stay extra comfortable. We loved the two swimming pools and the jacuzzi – great spots to unwind. The only thing that could be improved is the buffet; while the food was good, it could use a bit more variety. Overall, highly recommended for a relaxing beachside retreat!

The room was well-maintained and comfortable, but unfortunately, the food quality was far below expectations. The taste, presentation, and overall value were very disappointing. The service provided is average. We requested a water bottle around 8 a.m. morning. But the room service informed us that we had to pay for the water bottle since checkout is at 11 a.m. For a 4 star hotel, I expected much better standards. Definitely not worth visiting. This place may be suitable for accommodation, but I would not recommend it for dining.

I was quite disappointed with my stay, mainly because of the food quality. For a hotel rated as 4 stars, the meals were far below expectations. Breakfast had some options but was not very tasty, and lunch and dinner were even worse. Despite the large number of guests, the hotel seemed unable to provide better quality meals. At one point, we were ready to go outside to a nearby restaurant instead. I have stayed at many hotels, but honestly, this one needs serious improvement in food quality. On the positive side, the rooms are spacious and well-designed. However, the air conditioning was fixed at 25°C with no option to adjust, which was very frustrating. The hotel has two pools, but they were not well maintained. Overall, the location and property are nice, but the poor food and lack of proper maintenance made the experience disappointing.
