Do not rent from this landlord!!! I booked and fully paid for my holiday in April for staying in Anayara in August. 4 days before I was going to fly out to Phuket, the landlord Mr. Fredrik Gromer cancelled my booking!! I was offered other villas which were not even half close to the standard of Anayara. It was a special occasion holiday to celebrate my daughter’s and her friends’ graduation and I had 3 days to search high and low to find another beachfront villa which is similar and available. Mr. Gromer breached our contract and he has a legal duty to compensate me for any amount extra I had to pay to secure another similar villa as a result of his breach. Not only did he refuse to make up the extra amount I had to pay because he cancelled on me so late, he was so irresponsible he blocked my phone number when I tried to call him to sort it out. So anyone reading this and is seduced by the beauty of the villa as I was, be warned of how the landlord can cancel a booking on a few days’ notice and is not even responsible enough to compensate us for our extra expenditure. Cost aside, I was lucky I found similar alternate accommodation in 3 days, if it’s during peak holiday season, it’d not be possible even with paying extra. I am writing this review as I do not want anyone to be stranded and stressed as I was as a result of an unscrupulous landlord. You do not want your would be perfect holiday being ruined by an unreliable and irresponsible landlord!!
