Ancient Sands Golf Resort and Residences

We had a fantastic holiday at Ancient Sands. The food was delicious, and the service exceeded all our expectations. I have never experienced such attentive and thoughtful hospitality before. The staff were always available, quick to assist, and every detail was perfectly taken care of. The hotel’s architecture is also stunning, and we are truly grateful for our stay. The only minor point for us was the Leisure Pool. It’s the only pool with music and activities, which we really enjoyed. Unfortunately, a few entitled guests repeatedly demanded that the music be turned off or activities stopped – even though there are four other pools designed for quiet relaxation. It might be helpful to communicate more clearly that the Leisure Pool is the place for fun and animation, while the others are meant for peace and quiet, so staff don’t get caught in between. A special mention goes to Rema from the animation team, who was an absolute star and made the activities so much fun!

The golf course is stunning and well-maintained, and the panoramic views of the sea and lagoons from the rooms are simply breathtaking. The staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure a great stay. The food options are great, and the pools are fantastic. It's a peaceful and luxurious escape, perfect for both golfers and families looking for a tranquil vacation. Highly recommend!

recently stayed at Ancient Sands Golf Resort and Residences, and while there were many enjoyable aspects, a few issues impacted my overall experience. Firstly, the positives: the breakfast, lunch, and dinner options were fantastic, offering a wide variety of delicious dishes. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, always ready to assist with a smile. The suites are spacious and comfortable, providing a nice retreat after a day by the pool. The resort features a lovely shuttle service to a private beach, which is a great convenience, although I noticed that some guests from outside the resort also paid for beach access. However, several concerns detracted from our stay. The swimming pools were smaller than expected, which made it challenging to find space, especially during busier times. We also experienced noise from barking dogs belonging to other guests, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Additionally, there was ongoing construction or renovations happening within the resort, starting early in the morning. This added to the noise levels and disrupted the peaceful environment we were hoping for. I also felt uneasy allowing my daughters to explore the resort alone, especially in their swimsuits, as there were instances where construction workers were staring, which made me question the overall safety and comfort for families. In summary, Ancient Sands Golf Resort has a lot to offer in terms of food and service, and it’s a good option for those seeking a relaxing getaway. However, the noise issues, the small pool size, and feelings of unease regarding safety are important factors to consider before booking your stay.
