Great hotel , decor bit dark but still welcoming. Staff are friendly and efficient. Great location next to Liverpool st station. Rooms are beautiful and the coffee maker and freebies are brilliant. Complimentary mini bar is a great touch. Beds are comfortable and room has great lighting.

This hotel is perfectly situated to explore east london. It is right on top of the Liverpool St station so it's very convenient. The happy hour strawberries and cream were such a charming touch. The service was kind of uneven. When we were able to get a hold of someone, they were wonderful. However there were multiple times we would reach out to the front-desk via the room phone and would get no answer. Also the base rooms have showers with the half door that always makes you feel really cold. I really wish hotels wouldn't do this. Honestly our stay at the hotel was exactly what we needed and we're so happy we stayed here. We would stay again.

While the staff was accommodating and responsive, the room did not live up to the 5-star expectations set by the hotel's stunning exterior, lobby, and bar. Location was great, but the room I received was a letdown compared to the website's pictures. It lacked artwork, had a dingy hand towel, noisy plumbing, a dirty sink handle, and seemed to be missing furniture (chair and lamp). The absence of blackout curtains was especially disappointing, as I had confirmed their availability beforehand.
