Angels das Hotel am Golfpark

Arrived on 23 July and checked out on 2 August. The room was a bit small compared to most you would see in the States but it was modern, clean, and we had an amazing view of the golf course. The daily brunch buffet that came with the room had a wide selection of food and was great. Likewise with their a la carte dinner menu. Besides traditional German dishes they also had fresh made pasta dishes. We don't golf but we took a one hour lesson from the golf pro. Even with a limited German vocabulary I could understand him and he was a a good instructor. The entire staff was professional, friendly and accommodating. Almost forgot about the spa. We liked our first massages so much we booked another round. Would have done more if our schedule had allowed. This hotel will be our go to place when we return.

Great hotel. Good food. We used this as a base for going hiking. Great to be able to use the golf course basins for cleaning and drying our muddy shoes. Two tips for improving: do not switch of the electric sockets when turning of the lights. It keeps my devices from being charged the next morning: not a nice surprise. Also the room was way too hot to comfortably sleep. I turned the airco to its lowest but it had no effect. Opening the window resulted in a howling noise that kept me from sleeping. Other than that: great service, great bathroom. Nice sauna.

The hotel has a very beautiful exterior but missing details. For example, no luggage stand in the room. No smiling, even no 'Guten Morgen' if you pass by the reception in the morning. I wish I could drink a glass of wine and watch the final PGA tour in front of that big TV but there is only one sofa group and the TV is playing a nature scenery ... Always need to look for the service staff because they like to stand behind the cashier... dinner take so long time no matter you arrive earlier or later. You can't have a fresh breeze in the balcony and driving range because the odor coming from the nearby factory. The menu is a bit over price from my point of view. 26€ for a schnitzel? I just want something to eat after the golf round, curry wurst and club sandwich everyday? perhaps, but still, not worth for it...
