Angra Marina Hotel

The hotel is huge, looks like abandoned because is not full of people. It has a lot of empty spaces. It was very quiet, I enjoyed the silence! The room was very good, clean and safe. It has all what you need. The view was insane! Breakfast was good and has a lot of options. Swimming pool and spa not the best, very old. I think needs a renovation for sure. The staff was good and friendly. Helpful reception. Not very experienced and professional but is like everything in the island chill and not pressure at all which was fine for me. Hotel is near the main square and center you just have to walk 10 minutes, its up to a high hill.

Clean hotel with great views and good location, however the service was mediocre, the parking garage is a disaster (better off parking on the street), and the coffee is awful. Also, our group booked 2 "junior suite" rooms but one was twice the size of the other, with more amenities.

This hotel may have been built as a 5-star property 15 years ago, but it no longer meets that standard. The rooms are spacious with a nice port view, but that’s where the “5-star” experience ends. There’s no minibar—just an empty fridge—no bathrobes, slippers, coffee machine, or kettle. Toiletries are cheap and loaded with harsh Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, and the toilet paper is thinner than in public restrooms. The building is old and degraded. Staff at reception and breakfast are neutral, not particularly welcoming. This is not a 5-star hotel, maybe a 4 at best. The advertising is misleading and should be reviewed.
