Angsana Velavaru

From the very beginning, the Angsana resort has been a place straight out of the books, the pictures and various tv shows, a reality of a picturesque beauty and serenity. The incredible scales of blues the water reflects is beyond imagination, only brought further by the white sands, local vegetation, and the tropical architecture that is presented by the hotel. It really is the perfect paradise, what with all the different terrestrial, aquatic, and creatures of flight, from fruit bats and sea birds, to crabs and lizards, not to mention the seemingly infinite variety of fish and corals. This Maldivian resort really is the picture of paradise. However, to really make a resort the perfect holiday destination, it needs something more than a beautiful location; it needs the right kind of crew. For it’s the destination that brings the visitors here, but it’s the staff that makes you want to come back. It’s the people that smile and make you smile, feel happy, and ensure that you feel like you belong there. People that help with no hesitation and really make your holiday as relaxing as possible. Azeez, our house cleaner regularly made our house look new and comfortable. The waiting staff, particularly Lailla, Ijlal, and Appa, and chefs Rohim and Nissanka made our dining experience all the more enjoyable. The diving centers crew, Ahmed junior and Fazeel greatly and diversally showed us the Maldives increadble aquatic bio and hydrosphere through the perspectives of both scuba diving and snorkeling. We are deeply thankful to them for elevating our experience of the Maldives and the Angsana resort from amazing, to an incredible adventure that will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

We just got back from an incredible one-week stay at Angsana Velavaru for our honeymoon, and we’re already missing it! Everything was beyond perfect. From the moment we landed, we were taken care of — smooth transfer from the airport and a warm welcome at the hotel. The island is absolutely beautiful, and the resort is spotless and perfectly maintained. The staff were amazing — always smiling, helpful, and genuinely kind. They made us feel at home every single day. There were plenty of fun activities to enjoy during the day, and the evening entertainment was fantastic! We especially loved the themed buffet nights — a different cuisine every evening, always delicious and beautifully presented. The drinks at the bar were great too, with lots of choice. We had such a wonderful time and created unforgettable memories. Angsana Velavaru is truly a little paradise. We can’t wait to come back someday! 100% recommend this place — you won’t be disappointed!

We stayed at Angsana Maldives for 8 nights, and the resort's location is fantastic, situated on a small island. The lagoon is perfect for both relaxing on the beach and snorkeling. Our water villa was amazing, and our villa attendant, Irifaan, was detail-oriented and polite. Thank you, Isabella, at the front desk, for taking care of us during our stay! Additionally, the staff at the diving center were excellent. They were knowledgeable and courteous, and we enjoyed snorkeling trips where we saw turtles, dolphins, and a whale shark. The food and drinks were delicious, and the team at the poolside bar and Azzurro was outstanding, especially Ajija, Totti, and Ziyan, who showed us exceptional hospitality. This was a memorable experience for our family!
