Definitely not a 3-4 star hotel!! I recently stayed at Anik hotel in Phnom Penh that boasted a fantastic location, mere walking distance from numerous cafes, restaurants, and sights, which was incredibly convenient. However, the room quality significantly detracted from the overall experience. Upon arrival, I encountered several issues that made my stay less than comfortable. The room had a severe cockroach problem in the bathroom, which was quite distressing. Additionally, the air conditioning unit was ineffective and failed to cool the room, making the hot climate difficult to bear. The lighting in the room was also very dim, which made it hard to relax or read in the evenings. Plus, the construction site next door constantly produce noises throughout the night. Moreover, there was a persistent damp, musty smell, likely due to an unclean carpet, which suggested a lack of proper maintenance and cleaning. This created an unwelcoming and uncomfortable atmosphere. While the location is excellent, the room conditions unfortunately leave much to be desired. I hope the hotel management addresses these issues promptly to improve the experience for future guests. As it stands, I would advise potential visitors to consider these room conditions carefully before make a booking unless improvements are made.
I stayed 5 weeks in Cambodia and I did more than a dozen hotels in the country and I never came across such a shitty hotel. A staff of nameless incompetent, more money-oriented than the customer. A wifi that constantly disconnected. Rooms infested with cockroaches, a fridge black with mold that I had to clean myself and a sink detached from its worktop. Run away from this hotel. I can give you nicer, clean hotel addresses with smiling and listening staff.
