Anner Hotel

We celebrated a birthday last Saturday in the Green Room and all the staff we encountered were very pleasant and professional. From the first day I spoke with Bridget in relation to this booking, everything was dealt with so efficiently and she was a pleasure to deal with, and it was very reassuring how promptly any questions I had were dealt with. The room was so nicely presented and the table layout was perfect and allowed for good conversation amongst all guests. The choice on the menu was excellent and everyone commented on how good the food was. It was really good quality food that was very well presented and tasted delicious. The staff were all very pleasant and while we had a few people with food intolerances the staff members ensured everyone was well catered for. We will definitely be returning to dine in the Anner again soon.

I spent two nights at the Anner Hotel, 18-20 March. I honestly could not recommend this hotel more highly. My room was clean and very comfortable, with a good work desk. The public areas were lovely, and the food – both lunchtime carvery and evening menu – was excellent. I had the seabass one night as the catch-of-the-day, and the artistry of this simple meal, with beautifully done potatoes and peppers, reminded me of some of the best meals I've had in Spain. I leave the staff to last because each and every one was especilly helpful and friendly. Roisin and all on reception could not have done more to help me at times. Paddy at the carvery was friendly and interested, which is always nice when you are travelling alone. Especially helpful was Pip who, on hearing I was cycling out to Cabragh Wetlands, gave me great advice on the best route to take and general information that was relevant to the reason i was there in the first place – to take photograph relevant to our environment. All in all I would highly recommend.

I am a bit late with this review and I apologise for that! We celebrated our wedding day at the Anner in April 2023 and it was truly a wonderful experience. From the first time we met Deirdre she did everything she possibly could to make our day as special as it could have been, everything went perfectly and the ballroom was stunning. All of the staff were exceptionally helpful and nothing was too much hassle for them. Both myself and my wife and all our guests were blown away by the welcome we received from everyone. We also celebrated the christening of our first child with them in October 2024 and received exactly the same level of attention. I would absolutely 💯 recommend the Anner to anyone for whatever occasion.
