Great experience overall. It’s one of the closest hotel to the gondola to Matterhorn, so highly recommend staying here if you are in Zermatt for skiing. Breakfast is included and nicely served. The hotel is old but all necessary amenities and utilities are in good shape. We did not encounter any problems. Good value hotel since service and room were well served at the reasonable price.

Good hotel, great staff, especially Laura at breakfast and great location with easy walk to Matterhorn Glacier Gondalo. The hotel just feels a bit tired and needs some updating and freshening up, but good value for money.

REALLY DIRTY HOTEL FAR FROM THE STATION We were rebooked at this hotel and had to walk around 30 minutes from the station uphill, the location was really inconvenient (there were also several stairs). At the entrance, there was no one at the reception. When we finally accessed our room, we discovered it was in an unacceptable condition. The room was dirty, there was blood on the duvet, and we found both a tick and mosquitoes. We tried to find a solution but as said, there was no one at the reception and nobody could help us at that moment. Then, we had to walk for 40 minutes looking for hotels in the middle of the rain, most of them were closed. Luckily, we found an alternative close to the train station and their service was awesome.
