Antico Convento Park Hotel et Bellevue

Great atmosphere, almost magical, and very friendly and professional staff. During our visit there was not a lot of guests, so it was very peaceful. Felt relaxed and calm. The food was excellent though it took a while (about 45 minutes) to get it. Room was quite small but nice. You can really feel the history in this place!

My husband and I came to this hotel for our wedding night dinner and stay. Location was superb. You have a gorgeous view of the Pistoia, Prato, and Florence valley. The dinner service we attended was divided between a very courteous and friendly server and a flustered, sassy, clearly-had-a-rough-service server who dampened the fun a little. However, our room was very clean although the furnishings were a little dated but comfortable. However, this added to the charm of staying at an ancient-convent-turned-hotel.

The hotel is located up on a hill, just a stone's throw away from Pistoia. It has a very nice swimming pool, but bring your own bathing cap, otherwise you won't be allowed to swim there. The second night we stayed there was a wedding. Unfortunately nobody told us the restaurant would be closed this night until we wanted to dine. Staff was very busy, even didn't find the time to wish a good evening when coming back from dinner in Pistoia. Made us feel like guests "second class". It was very noisy due to the party and fireworks: just don't give us the room closest to the party location and next to the kitchen. Breakfast was good but nothing special (Italian standard). It had the potential to become a great stay, but bad circumstances didn't make this stopover very relaxing.
