From the staff who greets you when you arrive and serves you at breakfast, to the great location (steps from the main piazza and in the walking zone, although I will say, parking is a bit of a walk), and beautiful decor, the Hotel Antico Vicenza was the perfect place to stay. We enjoyed our time thoroughly and hope to return again!
I higlhy recommend the superior rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor! They are very spacious and comfortable. No views but there is the terrace- more on that later.The location of the hotel is excellent with easy access to absolutely everything. The service is extremely good and you feel very much taken care of. Although the breakfast area on the ground floor is small, you get table service for coffee (with refills) as well as a menu for eggs (scrambled with bacon, omlette, or softboiled) as well as buffet for fruit, cheese, pastries, cereal, juice, yogurt, etc., etc. There's plenty to eat with very friendly service. The terrace, which we only got to use the last day because they opened 2 days after our departure on May 22nd, was absolutely fabulous! You have the beautiful city of Vicenza at your feet!
The staff was lovely and the view from our room was really pretty. The hotel is steps from the piazza. Follow the directions they email you exactly if you are driving in.
