Antigonish Evergreen Inn

My family of 4 including two kids stayed here in early August 2025 for one night. A lovely place to stay, with many small thoughtful touches of comfort throughout. Really much nicer rooms than many hotels. The kitchenette is a wonderful convenience. Breakfast was plentiful and included homemade muffins and scones. The host was very nice. We definitely will visit again if we are in the area.

The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The owners have included so many details and the room very welcoming - bathrobes, slippers, live plants, chocolates... I was picking my daughter up from her first year at StFX and our plans had changed so we did not need the room for the number of nights I had booked. The owner was very accommodating and I was able to cancel nights without penalty. I will stay here again when back in town.

While this place is a little out of the way from the main streets of Antigonish it was a great stay overall. Upon arrival, our room smelt amazingly clean and there were single chocolates on the bed which were a nice personal touch. However there was no one working the front desk/office area - it was very much a honour system, and we struggled getting the key to fit into the door - I wish there had been a electronic keycode and multiple keys (instead of just one). We will be booking to stay there again :)
