Everything was very good. The terrace was very nice and you could rely on them if you needed anything. The Turk and the O’zbek at the terrace were very welcoming and were individually approached every customer. If I come to Istanbul again, I will not have second thoughts on coming to this hotel again.
The location of this hotel is perfect as it is close to all the tourist attractions. The hotel and rooms are clean and modern although a little small. The design of the rooms and facilities is pretty and elegant, the bedding was lovely too. The included breakfast was very good and had an excellent choice of food. The coffee was a little weak and the drinks were of the cordial/diluted variety which were also weak and not very good. The rooms are not well insulated from sound coming from the outside or the rooms adjacent to them. However I use my phone’s white noise app which helps me sleep in noisy environments so I wasn’t disturbed during the night. The window is large and you get a view of the outside street. The bathroom did not have toiletries so had to ask for them which were provided straight away. The staff were friendly. The streets surrounding the hotel are full of restaurants and are lively. You can walk to the Hagia Sophia and other places as they are very close. Overall I think it is a pleasant place and very convenient for the price.
I booked a last-minute room in this hotel for 4 nights last week, and I would recommend the place for anyone who is visiting Istanbul for the first time and looking for a cozy, clean and friendly atmosphere. The staff welcomed my friend and I instantly, and helped us organize our stay, with recommendations for bars, activities and restaurants. The hotel is located in a very central spot, making Eminönü and the sultanahmet areas reachable within 5-10 minutes walk. There are also many restaurants and bars around the hotel, though I would adventure myself a little further to avoid crowds. The breakfast offers many options, even if I didn’t find it the best quality food. But again, the staff working in the restaurant was very welcoming, and helped us feel welcome. + : the hammam for which you get a 20% discount as a guest was amazing! I would recommend it to anyone looking to feel clean and relaxed. -: the window to our room exposed us to the inside court with all the AC extractor fans which were occasionally very loud and can wake you up. Another thing to watch out for is the cost of a room per night. We thought we had had a good deal by paying 75€ a night to the receptionist (cheaper than through booking websites online where it was 90€/night) but only realised after a couple days that the prices clearly state 70€ a night behind the receptionist. We made no fuss because it’s a slight difference but watch out for the prices clearly written on the wall before making a deal :)
