Aonang Buri Resort

An affordable stay with almost all basic amenities in place. Rooms: We were upgraded to pool access rooms ( thanks to low season ) and it was great. Pool: Simple and clean Location: 10min walk from night market and other shopping areas. The beach is right in front but access is little far but the promenade is beautiful to walk Misc: You can even rent a scooter at 250B a day here

Great hotel in one of the more quiet locations along this beach. Room was amazing (we upgraded to a pool access room), spacious and clean. Breakfast is very good and you are provided with free wi fi and 2 bottles of water per day.

Clean room although quite dated. Simple decor. The lift flooring could also do with a change as the lino looked in a bad way. Pool lounge chairs were grubby looking and in need on new ones but the pool seemed clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy to get beach towel although have to pay a deposit which other hotels we stayed at in Phuket and Ko Lanta did not require this. The beach is literally across the road. It's a shame about the rubbish on the beach which is washed up on the sand but if you walk further up towards the main port the beach is more appealing. Hotel is close to the port, shops, restaurants, markets and pier where you can get long tail boats to some of the other islands like Railay which have much nicer beaches. Breakfast was so so, not as plentiful options as in other hotels but some selection of fruit, pastries, breads and cooked foods. They didnt do omlettes or different styles of egg, mainly just fried eggs which if you wanted them well done you would need to request this. Went in low season so it wasnt crowded and there wasnt any saving lounge chairs with towels first thing in the morning. Can get reasonably priced massage at hotel which my family members enjoyed, just ask reception and they will request the ladies for you. All in all it did the job but I wouldnt go back, although its not a bad hotel. Reasonably priced for what it was
