Unlike the grand resorts nearby, this charming boutique beach retreat offers a warm, homey atmosphere surrounded by lush greenery, making it a perfect escape for those seeking peace, relaxation, and authentic Filipino hospitality. Before checking in, my son and I decided to try the seaside restaurant, where we were treated to an unforgettable dining experience. Roland, our exceptional waiter, was not only attentive but also incredibly friendly, his genuine smile making us feel right at home. The entire staff, all courteous and welcoming Filipinos, provided impeccable service that left a lasting impression. . (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 6 Stars Daghan kaayong Salamat . They all deserve a raise! 🤩) So impressed by the experience, we decided to book one of the villas, and to our delight, Kris and Aira at the front desk upgraded us to a sea-view room—a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more special. Everything about the resort was spotless and well-maintained. The dedicated staff was constantly tending to the gardens, ensuring the walkways were pristine, and keeping the surroundings beautifully tidy. The swimming pool was a sparkling shade of blue, thanks to round-the-clock maintenance and the addition of fresh water. For beach lovers, the sea is swimmable, but I highly recommend taking the footbridge a little further out, where the waters are crystal clear and simply breathtaking. One small note—if you have allergies or aren’t fond of pets, be aware that the resort is home to a few friendly cats. However, if you appreciate a tranquil, intimate, and beautifully kept resort, Aozora Seaside Mactan is the perfect getaway. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be returning soon! While the staff were lovely and the rooms were clean, I had to check out and move hotels. It’s in a terrible area that isn’t safe to go out at night without being accosted for money. There’s absolutely nothing to do anywhere nearby. There’s a cockfighting farm next door so hundreds of roosters crow all day and much of the night. There is no beach as advertised, it’s a slimy little rocky pit where the water meets the shore. The fit out is about 40 years old (except the bed which was strangely comfortable) and only four holes in the shower rose worked. Oh and they only clean the room if you specifically ask for it every day. And the pool was out of order, but given the quality as seen in the photos I was afraid I’d contract cholera if I used it. I’ve only given two stars because the stuff were so nice about it.

I hate writing reviews like this. Especially in the Philippines because I know how hard they try to have excellent customer service. This is not a reflection on the staff or restaurant, which were decent. We checked in to Aozora for a week stay over NYE. What the pictures show on Expedia is not what we encountered. Our room was dusty and there was black hair dried on the tub. Worst of all the carpet looked to be 20 years old with disgusting stains on it. Not the nice wood floors you see on the website. On the outside the pool was a disgusting green color. And the property looked in disrepair. We went to lunch and decided we would not be staying there for the holiday. We ended up staying two nights because the next place we picked didn’t have availability for the week. The pool stayed green for the two days we were there. Extremely disappointed with the misleading info on Expedia, and with the condition of our room. Would not recommend. See
