Wonderful Stay Close to the Airport I stayed at this hotel for one night due to its proximity to the airport, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect — just a few minutes away from the airport, making it very convenient for early flights or late arrivals. What really made my stay stand out was the service. I was attended by a staff member named Daniel, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. His excellent service at both the bar and the restaurant made me feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. The food was also a pleasant surprise — delicious, well-presented, and with a great variety of options. I would definitely return thanks to the combination of great location, good food, and outstanding service.
DON’T! I know what you’re thinking — but it’s not worth it. Yes, it’s well rated and close to the airport. Convenient, especially with an early departure. But that’s the point: you’ll likely have a terrible night and be miserable on your flight. 1. The beds are awful. Hard as a rock, with springs poking through thin cushioning. The pillows? As basic as it gets. Good luck folding them into something that doesn’t hurt your neck. 2. It’s loud. Paper-thin walls, loud furniture, noisy plumbing — and throw in a parade of inconsiderate late-night travelers. Nobody seems to care about keeping quiet. Everything here seems to be designed to be as noisy as possible and will wake you up from 5 doors down the corridor. And let’s not forget the highway right outside. Porto apparently has more “sporty” cars than you’d think. You're anything but a heavy sleeper? This place will feel like punishment. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because the room was spacious and clean. But that's standard to be expected nowadays. A sleepless night, however, defeats the entire purpose.
Pros: very close to the airport; took me 7 minutes to walk. Shuttle is prompt and free (you need to call after landing) Cons: this a bare-bones 2-star hotel at best. The rooms are unnaturally large. Not at all sound insulated. The beds firm. You get one bottle of water. No kettle, no coffee. The motion sensor light by the bathroom makes an infernal clicking sound and would go off every time I moved in the bedroom portion. It cannot be turned off. The check-in staff I got at 12 midnight did not seem interested in helping. I asked for a quiet room to sleep later. I was put in 101 next to the breakfast room that opens at 3am. The same person was not much more help the next morning.
