Apart Hotel Porta Nuova

A clean and spacious aparthotel only a short walk to many major attractions in Milan. The kitchen is not super well stocked but is adequate for making breakfast and lunches, I wouldn't try to cook a full dinner here though. Bed was comfortable and there was a good amount of space to put our bags and store clothing. Check-in process is a little different than a standard hotel, you have to call the desk to let you in, and they do have limited check-in hours so do be aware! We were not informed of any check-out procedure and so left our keys on the front desk, where another guest who had also presumably checked out had left their keys.

Very weird place. There is no reception in the evening and morning, I checked in and out of the hotel without physically seeing any staff or other visitors. You get a strange whatsapp message with video instructions of hidden keys and codes. This place is more like an escape room than a hotel. Still 2 stars because the room was clean and tidy, but strange and not nice to stay in at all.

As soon as we arrived at the hotel, the reception was not working, the lady who cleaned the rooms waited for us to check-in. She told us that we should pay city tax only in cash! Because the card was not accepted, she did not ask for any document as is usually done at check-in. The room was with a separate bed when the reservation was made for double, the room did not have any accessories that she needed (slippers, toothbrush, etc.). The owner or the manager bothered us all afternoon and evening asking us for the documents that should have been completed by the reception that was not working, money and city tax when we told them we will pay the next day because they only asked for cash and we had cards and I did not receive a receipt! !!!Threatening us that he would notify the police!!! If you want to spend a stressful day, I recommend Aparthitel porta nuova!
