Apart Hotel SunClub Salou

Booked with Jet2Holidays and was fantastic. First sun holiday in a good while and didn't disappoint. This was our first time going self catering and we wouldn't go back to other options. The hotel is one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in both abroad and in the UK. The rooms were very spacious and well equipped for self catering with plenty of storage, a large balcony and a comfy bed. The staff in all areas were very friendly and help in the best way they could. The pool was a great size for how busy the hotel was, but it was a bit cold, saying that it's during May so kind of expected. The on site shop was very handy offering a great range of products. The snack bar was great and really well priced offering classic British pub grub options and a range of cocktails. The highlight was the evening entertainment from Eddie! Great with the kids, ran a great few rounds of bingo and had different quizzes going most night with banter that was right up our street. The hotel is a must visit again for us in the quieter end of cap salou with a bus stop straight outside it was one of the best holidays we've ever had!

We only stayed for 2 nights in mid-April whilst visiting PortAventura Park. This place is not in the city centre, mainly located among other hotels and private houses. There are public beaches within walking distance and some restaurants in 200m, but the main beach is in town. But we did not use any of this. It was too early and cool for usual summer activities. The rooms and clean, the bed was confortable. We got a two bedroom apartment (420), which was spacious. It was also the end of the corridor and probably a bit quieter. Had a nice big balcony with a great sea view. There is plenty of wardrobe space. We did not use much of the amenities since it was cold. We really liked the English breakfast option. The staff was super friendly, especially shout out to Alice for city and restaurant recommendation. Scenic walk to the lighthouse is a great option if the weather is not too hot. There are a lot of evening activities, also some parties in neighbouring hotels, so it can get loud sometimes.

Spent the week with my girlfriend, and can say it was an amazing hotel to stay in. The receptionist, Alice, very friendly and so helpful and was always up for a chat. Great service! The rooms were immaculate and got cleaned daily by maids. There were family entertainment on every day and it was very fun to do. Karaoke, Quiz Nights, Bingo for the adults to do then at 8pm the kids hour where they’d do fun activities and was just an overall great vibe. The only downside I’d say to this holiday is the price on some of the items. I think the food and drink can be quite expensive especially the hotel food and it wasn’t the greatest either. The breakfast buffet was lovely and only €25 for 2 adults to get unlimited drinks and food. But the general dinner food off the menu wasn’t the greatest. The hotel is close to a lot of beaches and not too far from the town so it’s easy access to go out on family days out etc.
