The hotel’s installations are good, the room is ok and the location is the higher point, very near to the beach and local stores for an enough price. As said by other former guests, the sound coming from the street is a low point, for some reason, the noise invades the room, especially at night, disturbing your sleep, no matter the floor you are located on. A very important point that I couldn’t see nobody talking about: if you go by car, prepare your wallet! Every street in Monte Gordo is paid, even the ones far from the beach, including small and residential streets. You have to pay for your parking everywhere, if not, certainly you will be notified. A nice place and hotel, I'd back in the future.

Nice studio apartment and great location. A one minute walk to the beach. Plenty of restaurants around although many closed as we visited at the end of October. Requested twin beds before we arrived but they didn't seem to have seen the request but turned our bed into a twin on the second day. Plenty of room for 2 in the studio apartment. Has a double electric hob, microwave, kettle and fridge. Not many dishes, cups or glasses but I always take my own mug on holiday. Nice to have the rooftop pool and there is also a small gym on the top floor. Very quiet at this time of year but so is the whole town.

Stayed here whilst visiting Monte Gordo. The room we were given was very spacious and had all the facilities you'd need for a self catered holiday (fridge, stove, microwave and plenty of cutlery, plates, mugs and glasses). The location was amazing being only a couple of minutes from the beach and restaurants. If you're unfortunate enough to be greeted by the short haired man at reception, do not expect good service. When we checked in he provided us with no information about the hotel facilities and the key card holder had the incorrect WiFi password, meaning we had to go back down to get the correct password and information about the pool opening times. He also told us he couldn't give us more toilet roll when we had run out one evening, which is something I've never had before in any hotel, they're normally happy to provide anything you ask for! The room was nice and spacious, and contrary to other reviews I've read, the air conditioning worked amazingly. The bed was nice and comfy with good pillows, which I find rare in hotels. The most obvious downside is the paper thin walls and windows. We had someone in the room next to us who genuinely sounded like he was dying from coughing most days and it was quite unpleasant to hear. The rooftop pool is very well presented and is perfect on a sunny day. However, it's quite evident they don't clean it. My partner had removed some dead bugs on our first day and they were still on the poolside on our last day, gross. Overall, I did enjoy our stay in Atlantida and I think with a few improvements (WiFi, staff, pool cleaning) I would bump it up to 4 or even 5 stars. We got a great price through lastminute.com and if you can too I'd definitely recommend it if you're staying in Monte Gordo.
