Aparthotel Grodzka 21 Self Check in

Before we arrived we heard this place was noisy. There was the odd bit of noise but absolutely nothing to worry about. The rooms are clean, well appointed and simple. The most appealing feature is location. It is in the heart of it all and I really don't think it could have been better. Yes the WiFi could be hot and miss, not something we were that bothered about to be honest. Brilliant location, fully recommend this place.

The hotel is in the heart of the old town, a couple of minutes walk from the main square and on the same street as the castle. Be warned though, there are a lot of stairs and no lift! Strangely, to have breakfast, which was a nice selection of cooked or continental breakfasts, you have to leave the aparthotel and walk round the corner to the sister hotel, this is also where you check in. Our room on the 3rd floor was missing a blind at the window (we hung up the runner from the bed) and the upper windows, high in the wall had no cover which made the room nice and bright, unfortunately, the sun rise was at 6am so we woke early every day! The room was comfortable enough, clean and housekeeping only came in if requested. Its a great location and had the usual hairdryer, tv, fridge etc.

The location is amazing. Everything is in walking distance. Only one block from the main square and maybe a 5 - 10 minute walk to Wawel Castle and 10 - 15 to Plac Nowy. Trust me, I am not complaining at all, just being honest with my experience. The room was spacious and clean, but dated. It's age was showing. The bed wasn't too bad we slept well. The bathroom was redone and the water pressure was super strong. There was a small fridge and safe as well as a couch and desk. It was very quiet. I gave it a 3 because there is no elevator, the room was dated. The wooden gates were closed to the lot so I missed it the first time around. But they do have parking!!! And that is huge this close to the main square. We didn't need to move the car our entire stay. They actually have a front desk. You park and check in at Hotel Santi and walk about 50 yards outside to the Grodza. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location makes it a great choice but remember there is no elevator.
