The apartment hotel is excellently located, about 5 minutes from the beach, which is not overcrowded even when the weather is good in high season, but rather pleasantly quiet (apart from the waterfront promenade). From each of the stylishly furnished apartments you have a wonderful view of this and the sea. For that reason alone I can highly recommend this apartment hotel. But I would particularly like to emphasize at this point the very warm manner of the hotel manager, who always makes you feel very welcome in the hotel.

Wunderschön gelegen, moderne Einrichtung, ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen! Allerdings ist die Bezeichnung „Hotel“ etwas irreführend, sowohl was Annehmlichkeiten in der Unterkunft (z.B. keine Handseife vorhanden) als auch Serviceorientierung betrifft (keine Rezeption, Schlüsselabholung in Büro). Es handelt sich tatsächlich „nur“ um eine (schöne und gepflegte) Apartmentanlage. Übermäßige Gastfreundlichkeit darf man nicht erwarten, die „Gastgeberin“ beschränkt die Kommunikation bei Schlüsselabholung und -Rückgabe auf das absolut Nötigste und wirkt wenig kundenorientiert. Das erlebt man bei anderen Vermietungsagenturen in Hörnum gänzlich anders und ist angesichts des eigentlich schönen Objekts bedauerlich. Wir haben uns daher für den nächsten Urlaub für eine andere, vergleichbare Unterkunft entschieden, bei der das gesamte Paket stimmt.

The current receptionist is (unlike the very nice Ms. Fenge) very unfriendly and actually doesn't like guests at all. She is only profit-oriented and acts as if she owned the entire island. New high booking fees are being introduced without any justification and numerous little things constantly give you the feeling that you are not welcome at all. Why do such people work in tourism? Also: the ceramic hobs on the stove are broken in the middle and poorly stuck together, the cutlery is dirty when we arrive, the furnishings are poor, no change of towels in 14 days, etc. After many years of loyalty to this house, we have decided against returning as long as the conditions are the same. Bad for Hörnum, bad for Sylt.
