Beautiful veiws and clean rooms. They also offer a lovely breakfast. The gentleman, who I believe is the owner, is super helpful and friendly. However some on the restaurant server are rude and give the impression that they are NOT happy to serve you. So, if friendless and hospitality is what you're looking for, then avoid the restaurant and you should be fine.
May not be worth the money. YMMV. The "Double Room Panaroma" type room has a large balcony (which was actually larger in length than the room's) but the view of the valley is hindered by trees. While the mountain view is great, it's not worth $425 per night, since Hotel Mürren Palace usually has less room-rate for some room types. The room itself feels very cramped & lacks USB charging points. The "single room panaroma" type room, on the other hand, does not feel as tiny, and even has space for a small table, besides the desk, so it doesn't feel cramped in any way. Besides, my "Double Room Panaroma" type room didn't even have an electric wall socket near the desk. My guess is that they deliberately gave me a smaller room. The restaurant looks great & offers nice views. The breakfast is okayish. The hotel staff is friendly & helpful. If you have money to burn, you might as well literally do that instead of booking a "Double Room Panaroma" type room. Perhaps book a better room type. Also note that the hotel doesn't have golf carts (so no baggage porters to help with transporting your bags to the BLM or gondola stations).
Actual review of the hotel and not the restaurant. This place is noisy!!! I stayed on July 8, 2025. I had an early-morning tour the next day. The views are spectacular from one side of the hotel. The other side faces the street. I was assured peace and quiet after 5p by a woman with dark short hair at reception - I asked because sleep was my primary purpose and I was give a room on the first floor (one above street level). This was one of the worst hotel stays ever. I could hear every noise; conversations on the street, conversations and stomping of feet on the hotel stairway. I could hear everyone who walked back and forth in the hall below and the people above me (pacing the room for hours???). I could hear all of my neighbors take showers. I could hear rearranging of furniture in the lobby below and in the room above, like when furniture is dragged across a wood floor. Unless you can get a room on the top floor facing the Alps, I recommend avoiding this place. One star for a comfortable, semi-firm bed.
